We are looking for a highly experienced professional to lead the development of our capabilities within Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Total Defence Planning, Security of Supply and Protective Security. About the Role
As Business Continuity Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for developing, coordinating and continuously improving the organisation’s work within business continuity, crisis management, total defence planning, security of supply and protective security.
You will operate at the intersection of business operations, security, regulatory compliance and societal responsibility. The role carries significant accountability and provides substantial influence on the organisation’s long-term ability to manage disruptions, crises and an increasingly complex external environment.
As a senior specialist, you will lead strategic development initiatives and coordinate efforts across operational functions, HR, information security, cyber security, corporate security and other key stakeholders. You will provide expert support to senior leadership and represent VAROPreem in dialogue with governmental authorities, industry associations and external collaboration forums.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Lead and coordinate the organisation’s business continuity and crisis management activities.
Develop, implement and continuously improve governance frameworks, methodologies, processes and tools within Business Continuity Management (BCM).
Lead and coordinate the company’s Total Defence Planning and Security of Supply initiatives.
Drive the implementation of new regulatory requirements and translate them into effective operational capabilities.
Coordinate activities related to protective security legislation and compliance requirements.
Perform assessments, gap analyses and improvement initiatives across the resilience and preparedness domain.
Plan, deliver and evaluate training programmes, exercises and preparedness activities.
Develop decision-making material and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
Represent the company in interactions with governmental authorities, industry organisations and external networks.

Your Background
We are looking for candidates with an academic degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
You have several years of experience working within Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Risk Management or related disciplines, and a proven track record of leading complex development initiatives in larger organisations.
In addition, you bring:
Experience working in complex organisations with multiple stakeholder groups.
Experience preparing decision-making material and advising senior leadership teams.
A strong understanding of the changing security environment and its implications for critical infrastructure and essential services.
Excellent communication skills in both Swedish (C1 level) and English (B2 level), written and spoken.
The following experience is considered an advantage:
Total Defence Planning.
Protective Security.
Defence, government agencies, critical infrastructure or other highly regulated environments.
Energy, industrial manufacturing or process industries.
Organisations with high requirements for resilience, security and operational continuity.
